HomeFrame is an independent publication about AI home design. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or paid by any tool we cover, and we never sell rankings.
Why we exist
AI room restyling went from party trick to production tool in months — and the gap between a generated image and a livable room is where budgets go to die. Our job is to test the tools honestly and name the gap: measurements, materials, codes and taste.
One rule governs everything we publish: if a claim can't be traced to a named source — a vendor's pricing page, a regulator's guidance, or a reputable study — it doesn't get published.
How we review
- Hands-on testing. We run the same room photos through every design app we cover and compare the actual outputs.
- Source hierarchy. Tier 1: official bodies and professional associations (NKBA, ASID, NAR) and platform disclosure rules. Tier 2: vendor pricing pages, each with an "as of" date. Tier 3: reputable press, for background only.
- Expert review. Design claims are reviewed by a practicing interior designer before publication.
- Corrections. We fix errors, note them on the page, and you can report one any time.
